Jocassee Wild Outdoor Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring youth and adults to form deep, lasting connections with the wild, pristine wilderness of Lake Jocassee and the Jocassee Gorges ecoregion. Through hands-on outdoor education, they teach participants to value, preserve, and protect these unique natural spaces for future generations.
The Challenge
We partnered with Jocassee Wild Outdoor Education to design and develop their new website from the ground up. The previous site struggled to clearly communicate their mission or make it simple for families, donors, and participants to engage with their programs.
Clemson Web Design created a clean, modern website that captures the spirit of the outdoors while making every program easy to explore and support. Key sections now showcase their flagship offerings: the Jocassee Wild Child Outdoor Experience (bringing children into the gorges via Lake Jocassee for real world classroom learning), the 10th year of Jocassee Loon Watch research, and the Jocassee Wild Naturalist Certification program that takes participants deeper into conservation.
The Solution
The new website includes online booking links for family adventures, helps to streamlined donations and sponsorships, mobile-responsive design, and integrated social media links, and photo galleries, so visitors can stay connected to their educational journey.
The results speak for themselves. The refreshed website has strengthened Jocassee Wild Outdoor Education’s online presence, simplified program registration and donations, and helped amplify their conservation message throughout the Upstate and beyond.
